Artist Statement

Phil Michael is a visual artist and art teacher who is drawn to the vibrancy and versatility of acrylic paint allowing him to experiment with color. He is fascinated by the way everyday objects can be transformed through the use of color and composition, inviting the viewer to see them in a new light and how these objects shape identity and memory. Through his art, he invites viewers to reflect on how the objects we surround ourselves with can have a significant impact on our experiences and perceptions of the world.

His work reflects the human experience of navigating through the messiness of life, finding moments of clarity amidst the chaos. Every object has a story to tell, and it is through the use of color and composition that these stories can be told.
